Sr. Executive – Logistics & Dispatch

Job Summary:

The Sr. Executive – Logistics & Dispatch will be responsible for managing and optimizing logistics operations, ensuring efficient supply chain coordination, transportation management, cost control, and compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, experience in vendor negotiations, and the ability to enhance operational efficiency while ensuring timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supply Chain Coordination
    • Manage and optimize the supply chain process for smooth goods movement.
    • Coordinate between internal teams, vendors, and transporters to streamline dispatch operations.
  2. Transportation Management

    • Plan and manage transportation routes for cost-effective and timely deliveries.
    • Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, carriers, and freight companies to ensure smooth execution.
  3. Budget and Cost Control

    • Develop and monitor the logistics budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
    • Negotiate contracts with transport companies to optimize costs and improve efficiency.
    • Ensure cost-effective vendor management and logistics operations.
  4. Compliance and Regulations
    • Ensure adherence to local, state, and international regulations, including customs, safety, and environmental standards.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting logistics operations.
  5. Problem-Solving & Crisis Management
    • Address logistics challenges, including transportation disruptions, damaged goods, and delays.
    • Implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency.
  6. Data Analysis & Reporting
    • Analyze logistics data to identify efficiency improvements and cost reductions.
    • Generate and present reports on logistics performance to senior management.
  7. Customer Service

    • Ensure timely processing and delivery of customer orders in optimal condition.
    • Address customer inquiries and complaints related to logistics and dispatch operations.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, dispatch, and supply chain management, in Meerut or neighbouring cities.
  • Experience in a manufacturing company will be an added advantage.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Tally ERP 9 and MS Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics management systems and data analysis tools.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management abilities.
  • Team player with the ability to manage and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
