Sr. Executive – Logistics & Dispatch

Job Summary:
The Sr. Executive – Logistics & Dispatch will be responsible for managing and optimizing logistics operations, ensuring efficient supply chain coordination, transportation management, cost control, and compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, experience in vendor negotiations, and the ability to enhance operational efficiency while ensuring timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supply Chain Coordination
- Manage and optimize the supply chain process for smooth goods movement.
- Coordinate between internal teams, vendors, and transporters to streamline dispatch operations.

Transportation Management
- Plan and manage transportation routes for cost-effective and timely deliveries.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, carriers, and freight companies to ensure smooth execution.

Budget and Cost Control
- Develop and monitor the logistics budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts with transport companies to optimize costs and improve efficiency.
- Ensure cost-effective vendor management and logistics operations.
- Compliance and Regulations
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and international regulations, including customs, safety, and environmental standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting logistics operations.
- Problem-Solving & Crisis Management
- Address logistics challenges, including transportation disruptions, damaged goods, and delays.
- Implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency.
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze logistics data to identify efficiency improvements and cost reductions.
- Generate and present reports on logistics performance to senior management.

Customer Service
- Ensure timely processing and delivery of customer orders in optimal condition.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints related to logistics and dispatch operations.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, dispatch, and supply chain management, in Meerut or neighbouring cities.
- Experience in a manufacturing company will be an added advantage.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Tally ERP 9 and MS Excel.
- Strong knowledge of logistics management systems and data analysis tools.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management abilities.
- Team player with the ability to manage and coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
